[:pt]Anel artesanal em fio de bimetal (silver filled) com conta oval facetada de ametista, feito segundo as técnicas de wire weaving e wire wrapping, sem recorrer a soldadura. Foi aplicada uma patina ao metal para realçar a textura.
O anel da imagem tem um diâmetro interno de 18,8 mm que corresponde a um tamanho 19 português, mas pode ser feito noutro tamanho por encomenda.
O fio de bimetal é um fio com centro de cobre e coberto com prata. A camada de prata do bimetal é bastante mais grossa do que a do banho de prata, correspondendo a 10% da espessura total do fio. Isto quer dizer que não se gasta com a facilidade das peças com banho de prata, sendo muito duradouro.

The wire has been wrapped and weaved in such a way that the ring is quite solid without the need for soldering. A patina was applied to the metal in order to bring out details in the texture.
The ring pictured has an internal diameter of 18,8 mm which corresponds to a UK size R and a US size 8,5. It can be custom made in a different size by request.
Silver filled wire has a copper core which has been bonded to an outer silver layer. The amount of silver in silver filled wire is much thicker than silver plated wire, making up 10% of the total thickness of the wire. This means the silver in silver filled wire doesn’t wear off as quickly as in silver plated wire, maintaining a lasting look of silver metal.
